Magic Of Wolf Moon

The full Moon for January was called the Full Wolf Moon because wolves were more often heard at this time. Wolves do tend to howl more often during winter months, and generally howl to define territory, locate pack members, and gather for hunting.


This is the time of year when snow lies on the ground in many places, and in certain parts of the world, on the night of the full moon, wolves raise their noses to the sky above and howl.
There is something magical about a full moon. People all over the world will, when the moon is full, look up and gaze at the glowing orb in the night sky with awe!
When the Moon is full, she’s in her whole radiance and it’s the only time we see all of her. Full phase is a metaphor for fulfillment and completion. This is the phase of manifestation! When the Moon is new, we set intentions. When she is full, we birth our creations into the world. Whatever you’ve been working towards is ready to be revealed in the spotlight of awareness. This is the culmination of results from the entire waxing cycle. It’s time to kick up your heels and express joyful gratitude to the universe and to yourself.

Protection Magic –
January, and specifically the full moon of January is a great time for spellcasting and ritual work geared towards both physical and protection. You want to begin your year on the right foot! Asking the energies to bless you with protection and guidance for the New Year is a good way to start.
This is the most powerful phase of the entire lunar cycle. Many Witches find that the day of the Full Moon is the most magically potent day of the month.
To attract and preserve love, use vanilla, cinnamon, and coriander. If your goal is moneyginger and dill will help you achieve it. Orange, lemongrass, marjoramwill help find the answer to an important question. Pepper and basil add couragegarlic and mint protect from negative. Sage will help resolve conflicts and establish peace. The light of the Moon seems to contain a magic all its own.
There is the legend of the Moon Maiden who collects the wishes and dreams of all living creatures on earth, they are then dropped into a goblet and swirled together before they are sprinkled back on Earth and become dew.
This is a time of enlightenment and heightened psychic awareness. It is a time when everything comes together, it is a time of ideas, also a time of commitment, to a person, idea or project.
January is the quietest month in the garden.  …  But just because it looks quiet doesn’t mean that nothing is happening.
