Harvest Supermoon, Eclipse & Equinox

Autumn calls us inward, downward, and homeward. The witch’s energy invites us into the dark to discover our own medicine.

The darkness of the season of autumn simply provides us the space to release, surrender, and descend into our center so that we can listen and discover the medicine of our soul.

It is in the darkness where all things are created. Where seeds are planted. Where potential lies. Where deep wisdom is found.

Before we enter the darkness, the season of autumn teaches us all about release and surrender.

Harvest Full Moon means the month when the moon is closest to the autumnal equinox. The visibility of the Moon light extends to hours that allows the farmers to harvest their crops well in the evening time. This month September Full Moon is going to be observed on September 17, 2024.

A partial lunar eclipse will take place on Wednesday, 17–18 September 2024, the second of two lunar eclipses in 2024 and the final partial lunar eclipse of Lunar Saros 118.

Beyond its scenic beauty, autumn carries profound symbolism, mirroring the transitions we experience in our own lives. Embracing the fall season can be a powerful teacher, urging us to embrace change, let go of what no longer serves us, and find beauty in the impermanence of life.

September’s Harvest Moon is a supermoon, appearing larger than usual because its orbit is close to the earth.

It’s the second of four supermoons in a row.

Since the planets Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all uniting with the eclipse point, we’ll feel compelled to ignite a personal revolution. We will realize that we can change. Out with the old and in with the new.

Autumn Equinox

On Sunday, Sept. 22, day and night will be nearly equal in length as Earth spins side-on to the sun and autumn officially begins in the Northern Hemisphere.

It’s the time of the year when many of us crave apple cider doughnuts and search for perfect pumpkins as the September air turns cooler, the leaves turn color and days get shorter.

This time is perfect for an inner clearing and purging: release what no longer serves you, anything that takes you off-balance. Reflect on the things you want to change.

Witches have a deep connection with nature, and autumn allows them to fully embrace its magic.
